Relieve Pain Through Energy Medicine

By Walter Gray

Every human body is unique in its structure and what it endures on a daily basis. This is why a single cure may not work for all under the care of a doctor. Often when one treatment does not work, the next option may be to go with a higher dosage or experiment with something else. People who use energy medicine find that the specialist focuses more on the problem and not a simple cure.

This practice, which uses the power of touch, dates back many centuries to the Eastern culture. It may be applied to physical, mental and emotional ills that affect people every day. As complementary medicine, it can be used with major surgeries. As of recent, this is incorporated with plans to cure pain for good.

Good health starts with a strong immune system, which is something that many do not realize. After coming in contact with different people and toxic air throughout the day, the body can be compromised. When this is ongoing, there is high risk for infection, pain and emotional fatigue. Eventually it becomes difficult to fight off colds, flu or other airborne illness.

Sometimes feelings of tiredness tend to be linked to matters of the heart or mind. For some, anxiety may become so crippling that it prevents productivity and affects normal sleeping patterns. A person may not be able to get decent rest or oversleep. Prescribed pain medication may only provide a temporary relief but is not intended as a permanent fix.

Energy psychology is safe for all ages and is growing in popularity with those who want to reduce, or eliminate, use of psychiatric medication. This practice is kind of like acupuncture without needles, in the sense that the trained person stimulates, or taps, pressure points to help shift brain thinking patterns. There are many techniques that fall under this type of healing.

The Emotional Freedom Techniques or Thought Field Therapy are the most commonly used for treating post traumatic stress syndrome. While mental health practitioners may use this as part of therapy, social workers and life coaches may practice this when working independently with clients. It has also been used to relieving chronic pain.

This practice can be used to regain energy that may be lost due to a number of factors. Stress, poor diet and body alignment can play a role in overall health. Getting a massage or sleeping more is sometimes not enough to restore the body after years of the same routine. A fair assessment by a specialist is the only way to find out what the cause of breakdown since the source may vary by the person.

There are just a few of the reasons why people from different backgrounds are looking to alternative medicine. The chances of becoming addicted or feeling drowsy afterward are slim. As more studies supporting its efficacy arise, more practitioners and other professionals are looking for ways to incorporate this into their patient treatment plans.
