Whenever a joint feels achy, you may swallow an anti inflammatory medication. It does, however, come with risks and side effect. Minimize taking such medication if you don't want to end up with diarrhea, heartburn, dizziness, buzzing in the ears and many others. Instead, simply try some of the most effective natural arthritis pain reliever options doctors recommend. Read on to know which of them tend to impress the most.

Use a heating pad. Grab a cotton sock and stash uncooked rice in it. Secure the opening and then microwave for one to two minutes. Double check that it's not scalding hot and then gently place on your affected joint. Perform this many times per day until you finally enjoy relief.

Count on an ice pack. If there is some swelling present, skip applying heat because it will only exacerbate the problem. What you need to do instead is grab an ice pack. However, experts say that you should not place ice cubes directly on your skin. Have them wrapped first in a clean piece of cloth before placing on the achy joint.

Whip up a strong brew of chamomile. Place a couple of chamomile tea bags in a cup of boiling water. Wait for the water to turn from scalding hot to lukewarm. Dip a cotton pad in the strong tea and wring out excess. Leave it on the swollen joint until it's dry completely. Repeat these steps if needed.

Spread a small amount of turmeric paste. In a small bowl, put a tablespoon of turmeric powder. Place a drop of water at a time while stirring. The moment that the mixture already has a creamy consistency, quit adding water. Apply the resulting paste on the aching joint and let it remain there to dry. There's no need to wash it off afterwards. Apply this paste out of turmeric several times a day for best results.

Drink ginger tea. Ginger is related to turmeric and that's why it is also an excellent home remedy for arthritis. All you have to do is place 1 teaspoon of grated fresh ginger root in a cup of hot water. After a few minutes, strain the tea. Go ahead and add 1 teaspoon of honey or lemon juice to make it taste better. You may consume a cup of freshly brewed ginger tea morning and night for faster relief.

Have some oily fish. Beneficial fats are present abundantly in oily fish types, and experts call them omega 3 fatty acids. Because they have anti inflammatory perks, they are perfect for people who are bugged by arthritis. Tuna, sardines, herring, trout, mackerel and halibut should be regularly included in your diet.

Supplement with fish oil. If you cannot consume oily fish on a regular basis, there's no need to feel bad. You may simply pop a fish oil capsule in your mouth every day. However, see to it that you inform your doctor first especially if you are taking blood thinning medications because fish oil can make your blood even thinner. That can be risky because it's possible for you to bleed too much should you sustain a wound or undergo an operation.
